Terms of service

Last updated October 23, 2026

These terms apply to your use of tickettrap.ai and the blog at tickettrap.ai/blog (together, the site). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What the site is

TicketTrap.ai is a free public research site about automated traffic enforcement and surveillance cameras. It is educational information, not legal advice. Our disclaimer is part of these terms.

Acceptable use

You may read, search, link to and share the site. You agree not to:

We may block access or remove content that breaks these rules.

What you send us

When you send a tip, document, correction or support request, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that, to the best of your knowledge, it is accurate.

You keep any rights you have in what you send. You give TicketTrap.ai permission to use it for our research and reporting, which includes publishing the documents you send and the facts drawn from them, quoting them, and summarizing them, on the site and in our posts on other platforms. We decide what to publish. A tip is a lead: we check it against the records before it appears on the site, and we may choose not to use it.

Before we publish a submitted record we remove personal information about ticketed drivers, such as names, plate numbers, home addresses and ticket numbers, as described in our editorial standards. How we handle your own contact details is described in our privacy policy. Do not send us anything you are legally required to keep confidential.

Intellectual property

The text, data compilations, design and code of TicketTrap.ai belong to TicketTrap.ai. You may quote and link to our work with credit to TicketTrap.ai and a link to the page.

Government records we publish are public records, and you may use them as the law allows. News reports we link to or summarize belong to their publishers. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is credited on the map.

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the page address and the work concerned, and we will review it.

Links to other sites

The site links to sites we do not run. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

No warranty

The site is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it accurate, and every figure is labeled with how well it is verified (see how we count), but we do not promise that the site is complete, current, error free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, TicketTrap.ai and the people who work on it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on it, including any decision about a ticket. If we are found liable to you for anything, our total liability is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we do, we update this page and the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New York.
