DATE: August 11, 2026
ISSUE: A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE APPLICATION OF TABS
MOTORS OF VALLEY STREAM CORP. FOR A SPECIAL USE PERMIT
TO REDEVELOP THE SITE LOCATED AT 200 HILLSIDE AVENUE IN
NEW HYDE PARK AND DESIGNATED ON THE NASSAU COUNTY
LAND AND TAX MAP AS SECTION 8, BLOCK 3, LOTS 1-5.

Synopsis: Tabs Motors of Valley Stream Corp. (the "Applicant”) is seeking to
            redevelop a 12,627 s.f. parcel (.29 acre) with a new 1,250 s.f. convenience store
and self-service gasoline service station with canopy, including improvements
to drainage, lighting, and landscaping located at 200 Hillside Avenue. The self-
service BP gas station will have eight-pump stations and will be covered by a
2,088-square-foot canopy. A hearing before the Town Board is required since
alterations to gasoline service stations require a Special Use Permit.
Additionally, the request to operate a self-service gasoline service station and
to locate a convenience store on the property both require Special Use Permits
            from the Town Board.
